Bartering for Websites
Recently, I decided to take a trip to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. As I was browsing hotels… I realized there were quite a few with no websites… some directly ON the beach!
That night, I contacted 5 of these hotels, motels, and/or cabins. One person responded.
The one who responded has worked out a nice trade with me. I will design and host (for 1-2 years) a 5-10 page website for this individual in return for two 2-3 day stays in one of his cabins/cottages.
What a deal! Many people cannot afford, or simply cannot justify spending the money on a website… but most people have something to barter with.
Find what you need… find someone who is offering that service and/or product… and then suggest a barter/trade.
Before money, when times were simple – there was a system of bartering. We can learn from the past!

Bartering some more!
I’m in the process of securing 2 round-trip airline tickets in exchange for 2 websites… and I’ve almost completed a website in trade for a Nikon D200 Digital SLR camera.
Create a list of what you want… or keep an open mind… and offer to trade website design services for products.
Barter – when you can!
